What we collect, why, and how to ask us to delete it.
Plain English. No legal maze. If any of this feels unclear, email us and we'll answer directly.
The short version
You give us your email so we can tell you when Plufflet launches. That is the only reason we collect it. We don't sell it, we don't rent it, and we don't share it with anyone outside the small handful of tools we need to run this business. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing us. We will.

What we collect
Two things:
- Waitlist information — your email address.
- Analytics — when you visit plufflet.in, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see how many people visit which pages, how long they stay, and roughly where in the world they visit from. This is aggregated, not personal. We can't tell it's you looking at the site — we just see that someone did.
We don't collect payment information yet. When the store opens, that will be handled by a separate provider (Shopify, Razorpay, or similar), and we'll update this page to say exactly who and how.
Why we collect it
- To email you when we launch. That's the whole point of the waitlist.
- To answer you if you write to us. If you reply to our email or write to agashashok@plufflet.org, we keep the thread so we can respond.
- To understand what's working on the site. Analytics tells us which pages people care about. That's it.
Where your data lives
We use a few third-party tools to run this business. Each of them has its own privacy policy, and where possible we've picked ones that take privacy seriously.
- Formspree — receives your waitlist signup and passes it to us. Their policy is at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy.
- Google Workspace & Gmail — where we read and reply to your email.
- Google Analytics 4 — for the site analytics described above.
- Netlify — hosts this website. They see standard server logs (IP address, browser type) when you visit.
We do not use tracking pixels from Meta, TikTok, or advertising networks on this pre-launch site.
Who we share it with
No one, outside the four tools above. We don't sell email lists. We don't share your contact with brand partners, affiliates, agencies, or anyone else. If that ever changes, we'll email you first, and you can opt out.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until we shut down the business — whichever comes first. Analytics data is kept for 14 months (GA4's default), then automatically deleted.
Your rights
You can, at any time, ask us to:
- Show you what data we have about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete everything we have about you
- Stop emailing you (there's an unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email; or just reply and say “take me off the list”)
Email agashashok@plufflet.org and we'll do it within 30 days. Usually much faster.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies, all from Google Analytics, all for the counting described above. If you'd rather not be counted, most browsers let you block third-party cookies in settings, or use a private/incognito window. Nothing on the site will break if you do.
Children
Plufflet is not marketed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you're a parent and think your child has signed up, email us and we'll delete their information immediately.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data in any meaningful way — for instance, when we launch the shop and start handling payment information — we'll update this page and note the change at the bottom. If it's a big change, we'll also email everyone on the list.
A note on Indian law
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023 and its 2025 Rules apply to how we handle your data as an Indian business. This policy is written to be compliant with those rules as they come into effect. If you have a specific question about your rights under DPDP, email us and we'll answer directly.
