The story

The Story.

What lip balm did for lips, Plufflet does for hair.

Haircare got stuck in the bathroom.

Two decades ago, no one carried lip balm. Lips got dry, you went home, you fixed it later. Then lip balm slid into pockets, then handbags, then onto café tables. Lips became a thing you handled in real time, anywhere.

Hair is still where lips were in 2003. Frizz happens at 11am. The bathroom is at 7pm. By then, the photo is taken. The meeting is over. The day has continued without you.

Plufflet is the in-between. A tiny retouch that lives in your bag, on your desk, next to the coffee. The enemy isn't your hair. The enemy is life — commutes, humidity, headphones, naps, plans that turn into plans.

95% is finished.
The last five is the work.

What we obsess over

The final 5%.

i.

The texture in your hand.

A crème that warms instantly. Holds without resistance. Distributes evenly.

ii.

The pouch on your desk.

Soft enough to be a design object. Strong enough to live in a bag for months.

iii.

The moment after.

The mirror that shows you what you wanted to look like in the first place.

The name

Why Plufflet?

Soft, a little playful, impossible to mistake for anything else. A small invented word for a small important act. We needed a name that belonged to nothing yet — because the category we're building didn't exist either.

The first drop is almost ready.

If the in-between is your life, the list is for you.

Be first. Obviously. →
